SPICE CITY FC ANNOUNCES UNION SAVINGS BANK AS FOUNDING SPONSOR

DANBURY CONN – Spice City Futbol Club (FC) – Danbury’s new professional indoor soccer team participating in Major Arena Soccer League 2 – has announced Union Savings Bank as a founding sponsor.

“Union Savings Bank is the perfect sponsor for our organization; they’re a locally based institution with a long track record of commitment to, and support for, the City of Danbury. Professional indoor soccer – that’s affordable, high energy and family friendly – is something we’re ready to bring to the city with the support of Union Savings Bank,” said Spice City FC Owner and General Manager Matt Svanda.

The sports-focused sponsorship with Spice City FC is the first of its kind for Union Savings Bank and represents the bank’s interest in supporting local business development.

“We’re excited to lend our support to Spice City FC because of the opportunity we see from a sport that so many people in the Danbury market are passionate about,” said Chelen Reyes, President and CEO of Union Savings Bank. “This sponsorship is not just about soccer; it’s about bringing the community together, creating local jobs, and fostering a sense of pride and unity in the Greater Danbury area.”

"We're thrilled to see our area business partners get involved in Spice City FC and recognize the exciting opportunities this brings to Danbury,” said Danbury Mayor Roberto Alves.  “Union Savings Bank is a leader in our community and this investment signifies the Bank and CEO Reyes's commitment to fostering Danbury's growth and development."
