SPICE CITY FC ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL SCHEDULE; 6 HOME GAMES SLATED FOR DANBURY ARENA STARTING THIS JANUARY

DANBURY CONN – Spice City FC – Danbury’s new professional indoor soccer team participating in Major Arena Soccer League 2 has announced its inaugural home schedule at the Danbury Ice Arena beginning this January.

“We’re excited to announce a six-game home schedule we’re confident soccer fans will love,” Spice City FC owner Matt Svanda stated. “Professional indoor soccer – that’s affordable, high energy and family friendly – is something we’re ready to bring to the city.”

Tabbed “Soccer Sunday in Danbury”, Spice City will open its home schedule on Sunday, January 12th at 3PM against the Baltimore Arsenal. Individual game tickets and season tickets are on sale now starting at just $12/game and can be purchased at SpiceCityFC.com. Youth clinics will be hosted on the turf prior to each home match. Registration will be required and more information is forthcoming.

The five other home games will also follow the Sunday at 3PM scheduling format outlined below with participation in the MASL2’s Eastern Division.

1/19/25 vs. United Elite Krajisnik (Utica) at 3PM

1/26/25 vs. Baltimore Arsenal at 3PM

2/2/25 vs. Salisbury Steaks at 3PM

3/16/25 vs. Salisbury Steaks at 3PM

3/23/25 vs. United Elite Krajisnik (Utica) at 3PM

“The City of Danbury and the Danbury Arena have been working hand in hand with our organization in ensuring this gets off the ground,” Svanda continued. “The turf is purchased. The schedule is set. The roster is being filled. And now we just need Spice City FC fans in the seats to make this a reality.”

The name, Spice City, and its playful jalapeno logo, is a nod to the multicultural city with an edge;  a spice.  A simultaneous sweetness; and hotness, that consistently delivers a welcoming, fun – yet surprising experience.
